Abstract
This research aimed to explore the possibility on having a data sharing partnership between the Department of Labor and Research and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The partnership focused on synergizing both organizations in order to gain a better overview of the development of the Aruban Labor Market. Both organizations obtain primary data in different fields. Sharing primary data by both organizations would help both organizations achieve common organizational goals. To make the data sharing more efficient, a suitable channel of communication was needed. The researcher interviewed employees from both organizations in order to measure the necessity and interest in collaboration between both organizations. After conducting the interviews, the researcher conducted a thematic analysis in order to research themes that was extracted from the literature review and and emerging themes that were mentioned during the interviews. The main concepts that were mentioned by the participants were: agreements, accuracy, reliability, efficiency, cloud technology, technical capacity, track / log / monitor. Both organizations agreed that the data sharing partnership is necessary to achieve mutual goals. However, only one organization has a high technical capacity. For this reason Cloud technology was chosen as a potential channel of communication, due to being a fast and costless channel, of which both organizations could access and utilize. Furthermore, for a data sharing partnership to be effective and efficient, written agreements have to be set in place in. Lastly, having a high standard log / monitoring of the data is of great importance to maintain a high level of accuracy and reliability of the information being shared.
