In today’s world, many businesses operate in an environment that is vulnerable, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA). This is evidenced by the COVID-19 pandemic which has forced many businesses and entrepreneurs to reevaluate their business models in order to withstand the adverse effects caused due to the pandemic to stimulate resilience. To obtain the necessary information, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 12 representatives of businesses within the Food and Beverage sector of Aruba ranging from restaurants, bars and cafés. In this paper, resilience is explored from the dimensions of government response, VUCA, leadership, innovation and corporate social responsibility. Utilizing the insights provided, both policy and business recommendations were formulated.EnglishCrises managementArubaCOVID-19Food and beverage sectorCorporate social responsibilityVUCAOrganizational resilienceInnovationLeadershipOrganizational resilience within the Food and Beverage sector of Aruba: a qualitative research exploring resilience during the COVID-19 PandemicBachelor dissertation
