University of Aruba. 112 pp.https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.14473/894This research aims to assist human resource managers and organizations in exploring ways to make recruitment effective and efficient in Aruba by giving an insight into the current utilized recruitment strategies. This thesis may help organizations optimize their recruitment strategies, align these with the current media trends, and catch up with the expectations of the upcoming talent and professionals. In the earlier stages of the research, the focus was primarily on the private sector in Aruba because companies in the private sector tend to explore multiple recruitment strategies to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness in this area. However, due to the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, the researcher adjusted the selection of participants. Consequently, the research included organizations in private and the semi-private sector. The chosen research method is qualitative research, which consisted of semi-structured interviews with twelve human resource managers. The collected data was analyzed through a thematic analysis to search for themes related to the literature review and identify emerging themes. During the data analysis, the researcher observed numerous similarities to the concepts presented in the literature review and findings.
